The Best of Matt McGinn Vol. 2 "If there's one man who merits a whole section to himself on the
Listening Post newsletter, it's poet, songwriter and complete legend,
MATT MC GINN. The good people at Greentrax have remastered two o f Matt's
best recordings from the early 70's and put them onto one CD. The first
half of the CD consists of the seminal 1971 release "Take me Back
to the Jungle", an album that Matt described at the time as being
"by far the best album I've recorded to date". Included here
is the title track as well as "On the Beach at Portobello".
The second half of the album covers "Tinny Can on My Tail",
which includes McGinn's most moving piece "Ibrox Disaster".
As a bonus track we have "The Wee Kirkudbright Centipede".
With that said, come on and grab a slice of one of Scotland's leading
folksingers and humourists, and buy this "Best of McGinn"
